Legitimation cards for remote identification
If you purchase a eHerkenning from Reconi at assurance level 3 or 4 and you are the authorized representative and also the user, you will be identified remotely. This verification is a standard step in the process. The identification is performed by our external partner AMP Group. This can be done through the "AMP Group Online Identification APP," which you can download for free from the Apple App Store or the Android Play Store.
For Dutch proofs of identity, a passport, ID card or driving license can be used.
For proofs of identity issued within the EU, a passport or ID card can be used. A non-Dutch driver's license cannot be used.
For proofs of identity issued outside the EU, a passport should always be used.
Not every credential can be used for remote identification. This depends on the presence of an NFC chip in your credential.
To complete identification, an NFC chip in your identification document is required. The chart below shows which Passports are suitable, however, for Identity Cards, the document must contain the following logo:
