The night before, you will receive a text message with a 2.5-hour time frame for the next day within which the identification will take place at your location. If you choose a physical identification, there will be additional charges by AMP Group.

AMP Group uses the following rates for this purpose:

Morning/afternoon €3.50.

After you are identified remotely or on-site, we will perform a final check. Within one business day, the eHerkenning will then be issued.

If the personal data on the scanned ID during the verification does not match the personal data provided in the application, AMP Group will inform Reconi. A Reconi employee will then contact you to discuss further steps.

From the time you receive the email from AMP Group, you have 30 days to complete the digital or physical identification.

Without the identification, we may not issue your eHerkenning . You will then need to make a new appointment with AMP Group. You can contact our helpdesk.

You will receive an e-mail from AMP Group. Through this e-mail you will be given the choice between remote identification (digital), or on-site identification (physical). When choosing on-site identification, an AMP Group employee will visit you to verify your personal data on the basis of your ID.

If you have opted for this, you will receive email and text message updates so you can track your current arrival time online. AMP Group will continue to keep you informed.

AMP Group will visit your specified location. The location must be in the Netherlands. During the on-site identification, the AMP Group employee is equipped with a tablet that the employee uses to scan your identification. The scanner will automatically screen out data that is not relevant to Reconi. So you do not need to tape this off your identification.

After successful identification, feedback will be given to Reconi and your eHerkenning will be issued after final checks.

For Dutch proofs of identity, a passport, ID card or driving license can be used.
For proofs of identity issued within the EU, a passport or ID card can be used. A non-Dutch driver's license cannot be used.
For proofs of identity issued outside the EU, a passport should always be used.

Not all identification documents with a non-Dutch nationality have an NFC chip. For an overview of identification documents with a non-Dutch nationality with or without an NFC chip, click here.

The NFC reader in the phone used and the chip on the identity card may not be properly aligned.

Then try the following tips:

  • Slowly move the ID from top to bottom against the back of the phone until reading begins. Once the reading has begun, hold the phone as still as possible so as not to interfere with the NFC connection.
  • It may help to remove the case from the phone/identity card. This may block the signal.
  • The NFC reader may be disabled in your Mobile phone . You can enable it through your settings.
  • Use another Mobile phone. As long as the identification through the app has not been completed, the process can still be interrupted and continued at a later time.
  • In the case of an ID with a non-Dutch nationality, the ID may not have an NFC chip. Click here for an overview of identification documents with a non-Dutch nationality, with or without an NFC chip.

You will receive an email from AMP Group. Through this email, you will receive a link to download the free AMP Group App. This will allow you to identify yourself remotely through the AMP Group Online Identification APP. Follow the steps from the email from AMP Group, even after downloading the app.

See images below to accompany remote identification.

After scanning the last QR code shown from the sample images, identification is continued through the app.
Identification consists of four steps:

  1. Scan the front of the credential.
  2. Scan the back of the credential.
  3. Scan the NFC chip.
  4. Take a scan of your face (facial recognition).

If you purchase a eHerkenning from Reconi at assurance level 3 or 4 and you are the authorized representative and also the user, you will be identified remotely. This verification is a standard step in the process. The identification is performed by our external partner AMP Group. This can be done through the "AMP Group Online Identification APP," which you can download for free from the Apple App Store or the Android Play Store.

You also always have the choice of being identified on location. Then an AMP Group employee will visit you at a location of your choice in the Netherlands to scan your identification.

However, a salaried employee need not be identified.

EH3 is a higher assurance level and this level requires personal identification for a user who is authorized representative or not employed.
