Customs plans to activate support for sole proprietorships for its European portals in the near future.
As a sole proprietor, you may have registered Chain authorization to allow another company or organization to act for you with Customs, among other things.
For Customs, this registration must contain both the Chamber of Commerce number and your BSN. If this is not the case, your authorized company will no longer be able to trade online on your behalf, once Customs activates this new functionality
We request that you verify that your Chain authorization is properly recorded for Customs with both the Chamber of Commerce number and your BSN. You can contact our customer service department for this.
We ask you to check whether your registration is correct and, in addition, if applicable, whether your (chain) authorization has been recorded correctly. You can contact our customer service department to do this.
Customs will announce through known channels at what time this functionality will be activated and has indicated that it will not be until Monday, May 17.
The latest state of affairs can be found at the news items on the National Customs Helpdesk (NHD) website at the EU portals section (https://nh.douane.nl/eu-portalen/).
