What is phishing? Phishing is digital scams in which fraudsters attempt to steal personal information, such as login credentials or credit card information, by posing as trustworthy organizations.
How do you recognize phishing?
- Sender: Check the e-mail address, especially after the @ sign.
- Data requests: Be cautious of requests to "update" your data through a link.
- Language: Watch for irregularities in text and logos.
- Urgent messages: Fake emails often pressure you with "urgent" or "last warning."
- Links: Don't just click on links in suspicious e-mails. Shortened links can be dangerous.
- Attachments: Do not open attachments from unknown senders.
