Starting on time ensures natural process
On July 1, 2024, eHerkenning will become mandatory for a number of Land Registry services. Several organizations are already using eHerkenning for My Kadaster.
"From our concern for security of services, just under 200 users have access to My Kadaster. It is now a natural process to move to eHerkenning. We have learned to research who is allowed to see cadastral data. By understanding the role and task of the applicant, we can better manage centrally. And as a result, we have a better view of who has access in Kadaster-on-line and with what services. Think of it as cleaning up our accounts. In which we now immediately do a check for function and justification. Do you really need that cadastral data?"

Logical for Kadaster to move to eHerkenning
"From my role as 1st authorization manager , I continue to highlight eHerkenning . As a government organization with government information, I think the use of eHerkenning is a logical step. Secure and with person identification. eHerkenning has multiple purposes, it can also be used in other government organizations. That's my story to users at Rijkswaterstaat, without getting too technical. To me it is also very logical that the Land Registry is switching to eHerkenning. And within my organization I can now steer that from my position."

3 tips for 1st administrators
"It is important to organize the application process well internally."

Drawing on his experience, Körnmann offers the following tips for arranging 1st authorization manager :

  • A user overview. Create a cleanup list of accounts. And record which functions are entitled to use real estate services. The export function in My Cadastre helps a lot with this.
  • A process description of your own organization. What is the application process and how is support arranged.
  • A step-by-step plan. This allows users to quickly see what they need to take care of.

No exchange of login data
As 1st authorization manager , Körnmann creates users. "Precisely with eHerkenning , you can prevent login data from being easily exchanged. Exchanging login data is something a 1st authorization manager has no visibility into. For us it is important to know for sure who has requested information. With eHerkenning that is established without a doubt."

"When users have doubts or don't get it I always say: you as a user don't want others to see your data either, do you?" Thus Michel Körnmann - productowner basic registrations at Rijkswaterstaat Central Information Services.
