With eHerkenning (EH3), you can already log in to My Belastingdienst Business, the new entrepreneur portal of the Belastingdienst. My Belastingdienst Business is gradually replacing the old entrepreneur portal 'Digital Declaration Belastingdienst' for entrepreneurs.

eHerkenning is the login tool with which entrepreneurs can safely and securely log in to more than 500 affiliated government and semi-government organizations. Prepare in time and apply for EH3, including the appropriate authorization, as soon as possible. So don't wait until February to request eHerkenning to file your tax returns!

Doing business with the Belastingdienst

Several tax tools have already been added to the new portal 'My Belastingdienst Business (MBD-Z)' in recent years. For example, it is already possible to file wage tax returns, sales tax (VAT), payroll taxes corporate income tax and landlord taxes through this portal. The old entrepreneur portal will disappear for good in 2022. Entrepreneurs can then only use the old portal for tax year 2021 until February 2022. After that, you must file your tax return through MBD-Z or one of the other options listed below.

Sole proprietors can still log in using DigiD or eHerkenning. In addition to using the new business portal My Belastingdienst Business, business owners may consider administration software or a tax service provider for tax issues.

Login to the Belastingdienst

To log in to the new portal, entrepreneurs must use eHerkenning. Entrepreneurs who only need eHerkenning to file returns to the Belastingdienst, and do not use eHerkenning to purchase other online services from other organizations, can purchase the special Belastingdienst eH3-login tool and request compensation from RFO for this.

Follow-up steps

Keep a close eye on further communications from Belastingdienst and our communication channels. For example, legal entities using the old portal for sales tax returns will receive a letter this month from Belastingdienst and more detailed communication will take place in the fall. Do you have questions or need more information? If so, contact an approved vendor directly or check the website at belastingdienst.
